Consulting can take a variety of forms including implementing effective grammar and writing instruction in secondary classrooms, working with instructional coaches, infusing engaging and authentic lessons into the classroom, and, of course, Patterns of Power training.

Patterns of Power Training

Training teachers, instructional staff, district staff on Patterns of Power for Elementary (3-5), Middle, and High School.  The training focuses on utilizing the PoP process and understanding how to use the resource effectively to teach grammar.  Trainings also support teacher lesson planning by offering differentiated approaches and numerous resources to help teachers bridge reading and writing instruction.

PoP Research Base Overview

Patterns of Analysis Training

Training teachers, instructional staff, district staff on the Patterns of Analysis Process for Middle and High School, grades 6-12. This training focuses on an analytical reading process that incorporates grammar instruction with reading instruction.  This resource and training supports comprehension, academic language and analysis of both fiction and nonfiction.

Customizable Workshops

Differentiated workshops to support writing instruction and reading analysis.  These are customizable and can be managed within a variety of time frames.  Workshops are also tailored to the audience as support for Instructional Coaches or Specialists may include instruction on effective coaching practices. 

On-site Professional Learning

Working with teachers during the school day to support writing instruction.  Support is tailored to meet the needs of teachers and is customizable.  This can include student work analysis, data analysis, planning support, as well as training for teachers, teams, or departments
